Platform for casual connections and shared meetups
This platform generates revenue in four ways, two of which are already active:
1. Premium subscription (active): €7.90/month or €59/year. Convenience features such as seeing who was online, sending filtered invitations, or messaging any member. The core features remain free so the community can continue growing. Payments via Apple In-App Purchase and an integrated payment solution are set up and tested. To give a sense of scale: a 5% Premium share with 1,000 members would produce around €3,000 in annual revenue, with server costs of about €15/month.
2. Business accounts / local partnerships (fully built, never marketed): business profiles, business-hosted meetups with discount codes, a business directory, and redemption tracking. This creates a direct opportunity to approach cafés, cinemas, event organizers, and leisure providers in Halle and Leipzig. For a local business, a group of eight people with a firm commitment is more valuable than an ad banner. This is the biggest untapped opportunity.
3. Sponsored meetups / local advertising: already technically possible through the business area.
4. Donations (active) as well as access to funding from municipalities, foundations, and health insurers, which increasingly treat loneliness as a public health issue.
Market: Halle (Saale) is the current home market (approx. 240,000 residents). Leipzig (approx. 620,000, with many newcomers and students) is already technically covered, and event imports run there daily. The app was built from day one to support multiple cities, and adding another city does not require any programming work on the core structure. This makes nationwide expansion possible.
Why €7,500
The price is based on replacement value, not past revenue. The platform includes 76 database tables, more than 60 pages, 44 integrations, 31 admin tools, and 19 automated background processes, plus finished iOS and Android apps built from a shared codebase. Rebuilding it would realistically cost a five figure sum. €7,500 equals roughly 80 to 100 developer hours, or the equivalent of two to three weeks of freelance work for a product that took months to create.
Also included: both App Store review processes have already been passed, which removes a major launch hurdle, especially on Apple. There are already 316 registered users instead of a cold start, along with press and radio coverage, complete technical documentation, and a ready-to-use moderation and evidence preservation system. The platform runs on a standard Linux server with no cloud dependency.
To be completely transparent: revenue so far is modest. If you are looking for an already producing income stream, this is not the right fit. The reason is straightforward: the platform is less than three months old, and during the first weeks every new user received Premium for free, so there was no reason to buy. What is being sold here is significant saved development time and a proven market need. The price is negotiable.
Programming languages: PHP 8.2, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, SQL, Kotlin (Android) Database: MariaDB App: Capacitor (iOS & Android), Firebase push notifications Server: IONOS VPS (Linux, Apache, PHP-FPM) Services: OpenStreetMap (maps), Brevo (email), PayPal/Stripe (payments) No expensive third-party licenses – runs completely on a single server.

Mitgehn was created מתוך a genuine conviction: loneliness is a major, widespread problem today, ranging from being alone after moving to a new city, to difficult phases in life, to people who struggle to cope with everyday life on their own. This is exactly where Mitgehn comes in, bringing people together offline again, against loneliness, not as a dating platform, and with the commitment that the most important features remain free. While many comparable providers rely on expensive subscription models, Mitgehn is deliberately designed to be low-threshold and fair. The concept works: steadily growing user numbers, real-life meetups, and positive local press coverage demonstrate both the need and the acceptance. The sale is for purely personal reasons: I built Mitgehn as a developer; that is my strength and passion. However, the ongoing operation of a growing community (support, moderation, further development in day-to-day business) requires time and a level of focus that I cannot sustain long-term alongside my role as a developer. Mitgehn has more potential than I can realize on my own, which is why I am looking for someone who can take the platform to the next level with resources, time, and dedication. The technical foundation for this is already in place: a stable, cost-efficient platform with a complete moderation and evidence preservation system, GDPR-compliant legal texts, and a clean codebase, ready for takeover.
