We developed an operating system for the Raspberry Pi. This allows easy installation of Raspberry Pi use cases without Linux knowledge. The focus is on high-end audio - use cases include DIY multi-room audio systems.
The software can be downloaded for free. It is a freemium model, i.e. for support and the use of special extensions the purchase of a premium license is required. Currently there are over 5,000 active licenses.
We run a bilingual website (German/English) with an extensive forum (3,000 topics and over 20,000 answered questions); the site has 38 HowTos, tutorials and about 100 blog articles. The website exists since 2013.
Revenue is split between 3 pillars: license revenue, Magento Shop for hardware and Amazon FBA Shop. The Magento store primarily sells hardware bundles, consisting of a Raspberry Pi,a sound card and the operating system (software solution). The Amazon store exists since 2017, has 420 ratings and sells in DE, FR, IT,NL, ES.
The project control as well as the merchandise management is done via the Magento 2 store.
