This project is a peer-to-peer marketplace for lead trading. The platform delivers transparent, secure lead transactions for both buyers and sellers. The marketplace is unique in its approach and currently faces no direct competition.

About the concept and origin:

Lead business is tough - it is marked by widespread distrust and skepticism, especially from buyers across multiple industries. Many agencies supply and trade leads, and the biggest challenges are inconsistent lead quality and a lack of transparency. Recurring complaints are a major issue. This marketplace was developed to solve these problems.

There are two roles: buyers (brokers and sales reps) and sellers (lead agencies). Lead agencies list leads for sale on the marketplace and must always indicate the source of a lead and how it was generated, providing proof of transparency. Buyers can view key information, purchase leads directly through the marketplace, and pay online.

Payments are sent directly to the seller via the integrated payment API and held for 7 days (minus the marketplace fee). If the lead is satisfactory, the payment is released automatically. If a buyer lodges a complaint about a lead, the seller must respond within 7 days. The marketplace then adjudicates the complaint. If the complaint is upheld, the payment is automatically refunded to the buyer; the marketplace commission is retained.

Frequent complaints lower a seller’s rating, and all users can view seller ratings. This creates a self-regulating system in which reputable sellers remain and poor performers are phased out.

Buyers can also post search requests. Buyers request leads in specific niches by providing a description and a target price. Agencies can view these requests and apply either at their own lead prices or at the buyer’s suggested price. Once a buyer accepts an agency’s offer, the agency is paid in advance via the integrated payment API (minus the marketplace fee). The system is sophisticated and designed to facilitate efficient matching and trust.

Numbers and facts. For a marketplace at an early stage these metrics are outstanding and demonstrate strong trust in the platform as well as validation of the concept.
